Coaching Certifications Required
Every coach (football & cheer) needs to go through a coaching certification class.  League accepted certifications are Rutgers Certification Card, National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS.ORG) or USA Football certification. The Rutgers certification does not need to be renewed however the NAYS and USA Football certifications must be renewed every year. Any coach without a valid coaching certification for the current season will NOT be permitted to coach players or cheerleaders. Completed certifications should be provided to the HPMF Coaching Director.

Coaches Background Checks
In addition to being a certified youth sports coach as outlined above, HPMF has mandatory background checks for all coaches involved in the HPMF organization. Coaches must complete the background check application form emailed to you by the coaching director and obtain a passing rating before being approved as an HPMF coach.

Coaches And Team Managers

One of the essential functions of coaches and team managers is to manage team communications with players and their families.  If you are a coach or team manager, SportsEngine has created a Team Management Guide for Coaches and Team Managers to help you use our website and mobile app to efficiently and effectively communicate and manage your teams.

Football & Cheerleading Coach’s Letter of Intent
The Coaches Letter of Intent form is for the purpose of developing a list of coaching candidates for the High Point Football Midget League for both football and cheerleading. A letter of intent is required to be considered for any coach position. Completion of this form does not guarantee a coach position.
